Lucy Rose Apple Review

"The Shallow Person's Regret"

Mediocre
Lucy Rose Apple

Boasting a beautiful deep red skin, The Lucy Rose is the hot sibling with no personality to the less attractive Lucy Glo. An odd-tasting, tartless, hottie filled with no substance, each bite of this mirthless stankfruit will leave you wishing you hadn’t been so shallow and went for the much cooler Lucy Glo.

  1. I went to Fresh Market today and saw Lucy Rose for the first time. I only grabbed one to try since your rating was pretty low lol. I was pleasantly surprised! Fun color inside! Not as red as I hoped, more pinkish. Decently crispy, tart, really nice! Close to a honeycrisp!

      1. I finally tasted a Lucy Rose apple and I was very surprised! I was ready to be disappointed in the taste, judging from your post! I have eaten a Lucy Glo, it was good, but I enjoyed the Lucy Rose more!

  2. I had my first ever Lucy Rose yesteday. It must have been a lucky day because I thought it was really good. Not quite as good as a Pink Lady but still a bit remniscent of it. The colors inside and out were superb. I’ve never had a Lucy Glo, never even seen one, but I’ll try to find one. I’m just surprised you rated Lucy Rose the way you did. I really liked it.

  3. Had one of these and it had a delightful flavor, nicely tart and flesh had good consistency. I can’t believe it was the same apple this review was written about, maybe this year’s crop is better?
